A journey through warm expansive harmonies — all 8 cello parts composed, performed, and recorded entirely by Isobelle. Guided by synesthesia, moving through four emotional phases: warm reverie, unexpected darker harmonies, a moment of release, and a rising outro.
More singles arriving every six to eight weeks, leading to the debut album.
Isobelle Austin is a London-based cellist and composer. She writes classical-cinematic music guided by synesthesia — her experience of sound as colour, light, texture, and movement. Painting with sound through rich harmonies and deeply expressive cello tones, she offers a refuge for deep feeling and reconnection.
She studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she was awarded the Solo Bach Prize for Strings, before building a career in London across live performance and session work. She has performed at the BRIT Awards, Glastonbury, St Paul's Cathedral, the Royal Albert Hall, and Kings Place, alongside artists including Andrea Bocelli, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Maribou State, S. Carey of Bon Iver, and Peter Sandberg. Session credits include Vivaldi's Summer for Netflix's One Day, and recording Brian May's guitar solo on cello for Sam Ryder's orchestral version of Fought & Lost.
Alongside her session career, Isobelle began writing her own music. During her most difficult times, music became a place of healing and reconnection; she now creates with that same intention. Listeners describe her work as immersive and transportive — something that helps them process difficult emotions and return to themselves, lighter and more connected.
Music that opens space to feel and reconnect.
Isobelle performs her original compositions in intimate venues across London.
