About Isobelle

London cellist, Isobelle Austin, uses her authentic sound to share her inner world with her listeners. She is inspired to produce sound, harmony and tones which resonate deeply with those who hear them. In seeking to endlessly explore and discover sound through her cello, Isobelle creates music which evokes an array of emotions. She plays acoustic and electric cello, and regularly performs as a solo artist, with other musicians and as a session musician.​

Isobelle plays classical through to contemporary music. She was awarded a prestigious Bach prize for her classical playing, and has worked for artists such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Andrea Bocelli and Robbie Williams. Isobelle records cello for film, TV and brand campaigns, and has released a cinematic cello sound library. She is currently writing and recording an album of original works for cello.

Recent highlights include performing at The Brit Awards, a contemporary string quartet & piano performance at The Royal Albert Hall, recording at Abbey Road Studios for MTV, recording cello and featuring on camera for Netflix's 'One Day', performing at the World Economic Forum in Davos and at GQ's Men of the Year Awards, writing cello lines and playing at Sam Ryder's acoustic shows, performing at the 'Hilma' film premiere, playing on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival, recording for and touring with up and coming artists, opening a show at London Fashion Week, performing her original compositions for cello, and playing at some of London's finest hotels.

 

Isobelle has performed extensively at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, O2 Arena, Wembley Stadium, Motorpoint Arena, Wales Millennium Centre, Dartington Hall, the V&A Museum, the British Museum, the National Portrait Gallery and Mirabell Palace. She plays on a Hill family cello c.1780.

Isobelle's playing reflects her passion for and enjoyment of the cello in all its diversity.​​
